Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic 4 Gallon Stoneware Jar made for "Bowers Three Thistle Snuff." 
 
Circa 1900, this jar was made by the Fulper Pottery of Flemington, New Jersey for the Bowers Snuff Company of Changewater, New Jersey.
 
This beauty has a strong presence with its Large Size and Bold Freehand Advertising.  The top row of letters are 1 3/4" tall!  Bright cobalt too!   Stands 14 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Light wear on the inner lid-seating ring, and isolated light stains.  That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. A 1/2" stone ping on the rim in the making.  
 
The best example of this jar that I have ever seen.
