Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Ovoid Jug stamped "Jordan."  (William C. Ketchum, Jr., Potters and Potteries of New York State, 1650-1900. 2nd ed. pp. 299-301). 
 
Circa 1835, this beauty features an Ovoid Shape, Carefully Tooled Thick Spout, Applied Curvy Handle,  the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and Three Brushed Cobalt Flowers Executed in Brilliant Cobalt.  Stands 11 3/4" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  A 3/8" chip on the spout, a couple tiny stains, and some wear on the center.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
