Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made for the merchant, "John L. Smith & Co., 1407 Main and 1406 South Sts., Wheeling, W. VA." 
 
Circa 1880 and made in Southwestern Pennsylvania, this beauty features the "Bullet" Form, Freehand Vining on the Shoulder, Five Lines of Advertising in an Oval Shape, Stenciled Capacity Number Flanked by Leaves, and a Bottom Stripe.  The stenciling is complete and crisp.  Stands 14 1/2 tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Some scattered light staining.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
