Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Merchant Jug made for "John O.Neil, White Hall, N.Y." 
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features Three Lines of Bold Cobalt Stenciled Advertising in Large Letters Below a Fancy Victorian Florish.  Stands 13 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" chip on the left side of the spout toward the back, and some scattered small and light stains from use.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  A couple partial stone pings in the making.
