    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 9" Butter or Cake Crock Lid made and stamped by "John Bell, Waynesboro."

     

    John Bell made pottery in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania from 1840-1880 (H. E. Comstock, The Pottery of the Shenandoah Valley Region, 106-162).

     

    This beauty features 2 Brushed Cobalt Tulips Around the Edge, and the Pottery Stamp on the Underside. Measures 9" wide and fits in a crock with an opening at least 6 7/8" wide.

     

    Excellent Condition.  Three small chips on the underside of the lid at the edge (1/8" to 3/8").  That's it! No top or seating ring chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
