Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 1/2" Jar made and stamped by "John Bell, Waynesboro."
John Bell made pottery in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania from 1840-1880 (H. E. Comstock, The Pottery of the Shenandoah Valley Region, 106-162).
This beauty features a Tooled Rim with a Groove for Ease of Tying a Cover Over it, Pottery Stamp, and Three Brushed Cobalt Tulips Excecuted in Dark Cobalt and Featuring Dotted Tops. Stands 10 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. A 3/4" surface ping and three small chips outside the rim (1/4" to 5/8"). That's it! No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
