Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made for "Joe Matteucci, Wholesale Liquors, Great Falls, Mont." 
 
The jug was made by the Red Wing Union Stoneware Company of Red Wing, Minnesota.  For similar merchant advertising jugs, see Dan De Pasquale and Larry Peterson, Red Wing Stoneware Encyclopedia, pp. 189-194. 
 
Circa 1900 to 1920, this beauty sports the Red Wing Jug Form and an Oval Label with Three Lines of Advertising.  Stands 11 1/8" tall.
 
Very Good Condition. Five chips around the platform (1/4" to 1/2").  No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
