Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 3 Gallon Stoneware Churn from Northeastern Ohio.
Circa 1860, this beauty features Rounded Middle, Applied Handles with Cobalt Accent on the Front of Each, Impressed Capacity Number with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Plant with Seven Leaves. Stands 15 1/4" tall.
Very Good Condition. Two chips inside the rim (1/4", 1/2"), a couple minor nibbles outside the rim, restoration to the top of the front half of the right handle (closeup 1), and a 2" hairline on the bottom of the left side that wraps under to a Y hairline on the underside. No cracks or stains.
