Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "James Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."    
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Top and Bottom Stripe, Roses at the Shoulder, the Company Advertising in the Middle, and the Capacity Number framed by Fleur de lis at the Bottom.  Stands 13" tall.
 
Excellent Condition. Some modest surface wear.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
