Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made for "L. A. Caree & Co., Liquor Dealers, 1064 Market St., Wheeling, W. VA."  
 
This jug was commissioned from a pottery Southwestern Pennsylvania, likely Greensboro or New Geneva.  
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features a Bullet Shape, and Four Lines of  Stenciled Advertising Surrounding a Floral and Accepted by Leaves.  The capacity number is on the back by the handle.    Stands 14 1/2" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  A 1 1/2" surface drying/firing line on the bottom of the right side toward the back in the making (closeup).
