Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "A. J. Weeks, Akron, Ohio.  Pat. Mar. 1897."
 
This jug was patented because it was a "burpless" jug.  The hollow raised top has a separate opening into the pour spout so that as you pour there is an even exchange of air for contents being poured.  
 
This beauty features the Maker's Stamp on Top and the Original Bail Handle.  Stands 13 1/2".
 
Very Good Condition. A 3/8" chip on the right side of the pour spout and some chips around the front half of the platform.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some glaze skips in the manufacture.
