Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Sweet 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Small Size, Bullet Shape, and the Company Advertising in a Very Fancy, Detailed Label that is Rarely Seen.  Stands 11 3/4" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition. Two 1/4" chips on the back of the spout.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
