Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this early 1 Gallon Ovoid Jug made and stamped by "J. Heiser, Buffalo, N.Y."
 
This is the mark of John Heiser who ran his father's pottery along with his brother Henry from 1848-1857 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 75).
 
This beauty features an Ovoid Shape, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Left-Leaning Tulip in Bright Cobalt.  Stands 13 1/2" tall. 
 
Very Good Condition.  Two narrow 1/2" chips on the spout, a tight line through the middle of the handle, and some scattered staining from use.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
