Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Ovoid Jug made and stamped by "I. Seymour, Troy." 
 
This is the work of the pottery of Israel Seymour in Troy, New York.  He worked from at least 1816 to 1852.  This mark was used between 1830 and 1852 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 66). 
 
This beauty sports a Smaller Size, Early Ovoid Form, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Large Brushed Cobalt Tulip.  Stands 11 1/2" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  A minor 3/16" flake on the left side of the spout.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A 3/8" chip on the spout and a 3/8" clay void on the left side in the middle in the making and glazed over.  Exceptionally clean glaze.
