  • Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous 3 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "Haxstun, Ottman & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."

This is the stamp of Andrew K. Haxstun and William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1867-1872 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).

This beauty sports a clear pottery stamp with cobalt wash and a Spectacular Basket of Flowers!  The basket is filled with a large blossom, buds, leaves, tentrils, and dots-- all executed with a slip cup in pretty cobalt blue.  Seems clear that a Norton decorator trained this decorator or moved west from Bennington to work for this potter.  Measure 10 1/2" tall and 11" wide across the top.

Excellent Condition.  Some thin water glass rings inside and some of this staining outside. Three small chips inside the rim (1/8" to 3/8") and a 1/4" chip on the right handle.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.

Give your loved one the gift of flowers!
