Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Haxstun, Ottman & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."
 
This is the stamp of Andrew K. Haxstun and William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1867-1872 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Large Blue Bird on a Branch Decoration.  This woodland scene is executed with a slip cup in shiny cobalt blue.  Stands  11 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Two small chips (1/8", 1/4") and a 1/4" surface ping on the spout, and a 1/4" chip on the base.  That's it!  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A stone ping on the bottom of the bird in the making.
