    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Pitcher in the Scroll and Leaf Pattern.  

     

    It was made for advertising purposes and reads, "All Roads Lead to J. J. Havlovic.  A Good Store in a Good Town, Wilber, Nebr."

     

    Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features a Scroll Top Border and a Feather Bottom Border, Center Advertising, and Diffused Blue Coloration.  Stands 6 1/2" tall.  

     

    This rare style pitcher is discussed in Terry Taylor and Terry & Kay Lowrance, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, p. 72.

     

    Excellent Condition.  A single pinhead-size nibble on the tip of the spout and some crazing on the base as shown, That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
