Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Stoneware Flowerpot. This is an uncommon form for blue and white stoneware with few survivors.
Dating between 1900 and 1920, this beauty features an Oversized Rim, Tapered Sides, and Diffused Blue Coloration. Stands 5 1/2" tall and 8" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Three narrow chips side by side on the rim that are partly in the making (picture 3), and a minor 1/8" nibble on the bottom of the overhanging rim. That's it! No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. A narrow 1/2" spot inside the rim looks like a chip, but is a glaze skip in the making (interior picture at 6 o'clock).
