Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Molasses Jug made and stamped by the "Hart Bro's, Fulton, N.Y."

This is the stamp of Charles Addison Hart and his brother, Elwyn Erskine Hart, who ran the family pottery in Fulton with this stamp from 1878 until 1892 when it was destroyed by fire (see William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 75).

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and the Molasses or Syrup Form with Albany Slip Glaze.  The pour spout is designed for more precise pouring and the rounded interior aided drainage back into the jug.  Stands 9" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" sliver of glaze wear on the tip of the spout and base of the handle on the left side.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
