Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer made by "Hamilton and Jones, Greensboro, PA."
This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, Pennsylvania from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157).
Circa 1880, this beauty features a Tooled Rounded Rim and Shoulder, and the Company Advertising with Floral Accents. Stands 9 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. Minor nibbles and two small chips inside the rim (1/4", 3/8"). That's it! No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. A clay void on the front left near the bottom in the making.
