Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this early 1 Gallon Ovoid Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "G. Heiser, Buffalo, N.Y."  
 
This is the mark of Godfrey Heiser who ran a pottery in Buffalo from 1835-1848 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 75).  
 
This beauty features the Early Ovoid Shape, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Tulip Decoration.  Stands 12 1/2" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  A 1/4" chip on the left side of the spout and some staining from use.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.   Kiln touches in the making.
