Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this early 1 Gallon Ovoid Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "G. Heiser, Buffalo, N.Y."  
 
This is the mark of Godfrey Heiser who ran a pottery in Buffalo from 1835-1848 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 75).  
 
This beauty features the Early Ovoid Shape, Clear Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Tree with Ground Cover.  Stands 11 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Two 1/8" nibbles on the spout not in the making.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Kiln touches in the making.
