Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Cute 1 Gallon Cream Pot made and lightly stamped by "F. J. Caire, Huntington, L.I."

 

This is the work of Frederick J. Caire who ran the pottery in Huntington from 1854-1863 (William J. Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 64).

 

This beauty features a Cream Pot Form with Rounded Body, Tooled Rim and Shoulder, the Pottery Stamp, and a Brushed Cobalt Tulip with Two Leaves and a Blossom with 8 Petals.  Measures 7 1/4" tall and 8 1/4" wide across the top.

 

Excellent Condition.  Some very light staining from use.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
