Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Early 1 Gallon Stoneware Ovoid Jar whose form and decoration indicate that it was made in New York City around 1820.
This beauty features a Ovoid Form, Carefully Tooled Rim, Applied Handles, and a Brushed Cobalt Looped Ribbon across the Front. Stands 10 3/4" tall.
Very Good Condition. Nine chips on top or on the side of the rim (1/4" to 3/4") and a faint 2 1/2" vertical hairline on the back bottom that wraps under 1". No inner rim or base chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
