Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful European Stoneware Ovoid Jug.
 
Dating to the early 19th century, this beauty features an Ovoid Form with Tall Neck, Reeded Spout. and Strap Handle.  Honey Brown Glaze.  Stands 13 1/2" tall and is just a bit larger than 1 gallon.
 
Excellent Condition.  Two 1/4" chips on the underside of the lip of the spout, and a 1/4" chip on the shoulder on the back to the right of the handle with a small glaze spider from it (closeup).  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A few 1" surface lines at the base in the making.  
 
An attractive form for decorating.
