    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this rare Child's Plate with Zebra.  It is impressed "Scott 4" on the bottom.


    This beauty is likely from Scotland or Ireland from the 19th century which produced cut spongware with animal figures (Kelly and Kowalsky, Spongeware, 1835-1935, pp. 13-33).  


    This beauty is a Child's Size of 7 3/8" in Diameter with a Brown Cut Sponge Border and Center Circle with Purple Zebra!  


    Excellent Condition.  A few short and scattered utensil marks and a pinhead size glaze nibble on the face.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
