Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Crock whose decoration make it easy to attribute to Flack & Van Arsdale, Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. 
 
Flack & Van Arsdale worked together from 1869-1907. 
 
Dating around 1875, this beauty features the cherished Large Bird on a Branch Decoration for which this pottery is well-known.   With an economy of brushstrokes, the artist created a longtail bird on a branch with ample branches that fills the front of the crock.  Measures 10 1/2" tall and 11" wide across the top.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Flat chips under the left handle.  That's it!  No rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Daub of extra clay inside in the making.
