Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Handsome 2 Gallon Jug made for the merchant, "W. & H. Knight, Reading."
 
Dating to the mid-19th century in England, this jug features a Semi-Ovoid Form, Applied Strap Handle, Slip-Dipped Top, and Impressed Advertising.  Very handsome piece.  Stands 14 3/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Glaze wear around the top of the spout from use with a wooden stopper, and three contiguous chips on the bottom edge (1/8", 1/4", 1").  That's it!  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
