Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this cute little 1 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "N. A. White & Son, Utica, N.Y."
This is a work of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the family pottery from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 69-70).
This beauty features a Clear Pottery Stamp and One of White's Signature Decorations: The Orchid Executed with a Brush. The orchid has 5 leaves in Gorgeous Cobalt. Measures 6 3/4" tall and 8 1/4" wide across the top.
Excellent Conditon. A single 1/4" chip inside the rim. That's it! No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. Exceptionally clean glaze.
