Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Jar made and stamped by "Connolly & Palmer, New Brunswick, N.J."
 
This is the work of Thomas Connolly and Charles Palmer who ran the pottery in New Brunswick from 1881-1888 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 80).
 
This beauty features a Large Size, Brushed Cobalt Bird on One Side and the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and Capacity Number on the Other.  Stand 13 1/4" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.   Two 1/4" flakes on the rim.  That's it!  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  The rim is slightly wavy in the making.
