Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Merchant Jug made for the merchants, "Comstock Bros., Utica, N.Y."  These brothers were grocers and druggists.
 
The jug was made by N. A. White & Son, Utica, N.Y. between 1865 and 1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 70-71).
 
This beauty features the Small 1/2 Gallon Size and Two Lines of Large Block Letter Advertising.  Stands 9" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Minor nibbles and faint surface line on the very top of the spout.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
