Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Ovoid Jug made and stamped by "Clark & Co., Rochester." 
 
This is the work of Nathan Clark who ran the pottery in Athens, New York and this satellite pottery in Rochester, New York from 1839 to 1851 (William Ketchum, Jr., Potters and Potteries of New York State, 1650-1900, pp. 372, 377). 
 
This beauty sports an Ovoid Shape, Larger Size, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, the Freehand "3" Capacity Number, and a Brushed Cobalt Leaf.  Stands 17" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
