Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 4 Gallon Jar whose decoration indicates that it was made in Shinnston, West Virginia around 1875.
 
This beauty feature Two Stripes at the Top followed by Two Rows of Intricate Vining Separated by Stripes, and the Capacity number framed by Thirteen Dashes in Three Columns.  Additional cobalt at the handle terminals.  Stands 14 1/2" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  A drying/firing line inside in the making (closeup).
