Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Preserve Jar with Lid.
 
Circa 1870, this jar originates in New York, Eastern Pennsylvania, or New Jersey.   It features Two Tulips Facing in Opposite Directions--One with Dotted Center and One Without--Balanced on a Leaf and Stem.  Gorgeous brushed cobalt too!   Comes with what appears to be the original lid.  Stands 11 3/4" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  Five narrow 1/2" chips on the inner lid seating ring, two chips outside the rim (3/8", 1/2"), a 1/2" chip on the underside at the edge, and some light scattered staining.  No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  The lid has chips around the edge as shown.
