    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous 1 Gallon Cake Crock from the Mid-Atlantic Region (possibly Eastern Pennsylvania or Maryland).

     

    Circa 1860, this beauty features a Squared Rim, Applied Rounded Handles, and an Opulent Vine with Two Blossoms on Each Side.  The brushstrokes are wide so that there is little surface not covered with cobalt.  Additional cobalt accents at the handle terminals.  Measures 4 3/4" tall and 9  1/4" wide across the top.  

     

    Very Good Condition.  A half-dozen small chips on the rim (1/8" to 3/8"), and a 2" narrow rough section and four chips (1/4" to 1") on the base.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
