Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare 5 Gallon Ovoid Jar stamped under the handle "BELL".
 
This is the mark of Peter, Solomon, or Samuel Bell of Winchester Virginia.  See H. E. Comstock, The Pottery of the Shenandoah Valley Region, pp. 100-106. 
 
This beauty features a Large Size, Ovoid Shape, Tall rim, Applied Grooved Handles, Pottery Stamp, and Generous Brushed Cobalt Vine on Each Side.  Measures 15" tall and 11" wide across the top.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Five small chips around the outside of the rim (1/8" to 1/2"), a 1" chip on one handle, and some light staining.  That's it!  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
