Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Merchant Script Jug made for "C. Kamper's Sons, 151 Michigan St., Buffalo, N.Y." 
 
It was made and stamped by "J. Fisher, Lyons, N.Y."  Jacob Fisher made pottery in Lyons, New York from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Pottery Stamp on the Shoulder and Four Lines of Bright and Shiny Script Advertising.  Stands 11 3/8" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition. A 3/8" chip on the right side of the handle.  That's it!  No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
