Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Burger & Co., Rochester, N.Y."
 
This is the mark of John Burger, Jr. who ran the family's pottery under this stamp from 1877-1879 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
 
This beauty sports the pottery stamp with cobalt wash and an Elaborate Cobalt Wreath Executed with a Slip Cup. Exceptionally bright and shiny cobalt.   Clean glaze and dark cobalt for a visual delight!  Stands 13 3/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A 1/2" chip on the underside and some small and light scattered stains.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
