Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by the "Burger Bro's & Co., Rochester, N.Y."

This is the mark of John Burger, Jr. and his brother, George, who ran the pottery with this stamp from 1867-1870 (William Ketchum, Jr., Potters and Potteries of New York State, 1650-1900, p. 379).

Very Good Condition.  A layer of molasses inside at the bottom, a 1/2" surface ping on the right side of the spout at the top, a Y-shaped surface line on the back (closeup 1), and three chips (3/8" to 5/8") and a 2 1/4" surface ping the bottom edge (closeup 2).  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
