Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Brady and Ryan, Ellenville, N.Y."
 
This is the stamp of Samuel Brady and John J. Ryan who ran their pottery in Ellenville from 1878-1897 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 66).
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and Bird on a Branch Decoration.  The little birdie is drawn in shiny cobalt.  Stands 13 1/2" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition. A 1/4" chip inside the spout.  That's it!  No outer spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some roughness along the bottom edge from separation in the kiln in the making.
