    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous Blue and White Pitcher in the Swirl Pattern.

     

    Dating around 1900 to 1920, this beauty features an Ovoid Form with Understated Pinched Spout and Four Vertical Swirl Stripes with Diffused Edges.  Very pretty!  Stands 8 1/2" tall.

     

    This pitcher is discussed in Terry Taylor and Terry and Kay Lowrence, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware, p. 69.

     

    Excellent Condition.  A small 3/16" flake inside the rim.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A couple small clay voids in the making- pinhead size on the spout and a narrow 1/4" one near the base.
