Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Merchant Script Jug made for "H. & S. , Auburn, N.Y." 
 
It was made and stamped by "J. Fisher, Lyons, N.Y."  Jacob Fisher made pottery in Lyons, New York from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
 
Circa 1880, this beauty features the Pottery Stamp on the Shoulder and Three Lines of Bright and Shiny Script Advertising.  Stands 14" tall. 
 
Very Good Condition.   Minor nibbles around the spout. About a dozen glaze chip- some below the handle and some on each side as show.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
