Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and Gray 2 Gallon Water Cooler made by the Robinson Clay Products Company of Akron, Ohio. This company was in existence from 1900-1915.
This cooler was made for "The Allen Germ-Proof Filter, Toledo, O."
This beauty features fancy, detailed molded decoration. From the top down is a row of raised dots, a bulbous top with fancy embossed fret work and the company name in a delicate label, a recessed center with what look like small trees holding up the bulbous top, and a rounded base with detained scroll work. All the raised decoration is highlighted with cobalt. Retains its original spigot. Stands 13 1/4" tall
Excellent Condition. A 1 1/4" ping inside the rim (closeup) and a 3/4" chip on the back at the bottom. That's it! No outer rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. A 1/4" chip on the center of the back in the making.
