Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug whose decoration indicates that it was made by the potters, Brady and Ryan.
Samuel Brady and John J. Ryan ran their pottery in Ellenville, N.Y. from 1878-1897 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 66).
This beauty features a Brushed Cobalt Bird Perched on a Branch Decoration. Bright and shiny cobalt and overall glaze. Stands 13 1/2" tall.
Exceptional Condition. As made. No damage of any kind. Typical firing lines around the handle in the making.
