Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Owl Figural Clock.

It was made by the Brush Pottery (formerly Brush-McCoy until 1925).  It was part of their "Wise Birds" Line introduced in 1927.  It was advertised as "A New Line of 'Purse-Openers' for Every Store Everywhere."  The original ad and the pieces in this line are pictured above (Martha and Steve Sanford, The Guide to Brush-McCoy Pottery, pp. 124-125)

This beauty is a Finely Molded Owl Standing on a Branch with a Clock to His Right Perched on the Same Branch.  Pastel colors of the period decorate the piece.  The bottom retains the original paper reading, "Art Pottery Owl Clock, The Brush Pottery Co., Zanesville, Ohio.  Measures 7" long, 4" wide, and 7 1/4" tall.

Excellent Condition.  The stoneware is excellent, with only a narrow 1/4" chip on the back bottom edge.  Each time I give the clock key a couple of short winds it works fine, but may need attention for long term.
