Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jar made and stamped by "Whites Utica."
This is the work of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles who ran the Whites of Utica family pottery from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 70-71).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Fancy Cobalt Floral Bouqet. The floral is created with a slip cup in shiny cobalt. Stands 10 3/4" tall
Very Good Condition. A water glass ring inside from use. Two adjacent 1/2" chips on the bottom front. A inbody 7" vertical hairline by the right handle (closeup 1), and a surface-only 5" line on the back (closeup 2). No rim chips, stains, or restoration.
