  • Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Stoneware Butter Crock that reads, "Wheeling Farms, Wheeling, Ills., Butter Eggs, Poultry from Farms to Consumer"

     

    It was made by the Red Wing Stoneware Company of Red Wing, Minnesota (1906-1936). 

     

    This piece is featured in Dan and Gail DePasquale and Larry Peterson, Red Wing Stoneware Encyclopedia, p. 112.

     

    Made about 1920, this beauty features 5 Lines of Blue Stenciled Advertising in a Rectangular Frame.  Measures 3 1/2' tall and 5 1/2" wide.

     

    Excellent Condition.  A 1/2" chip on the front bottom that may or may not be in the making. That's it!  No other chips or any hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
