Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by "T. Reed."

This is the work of Thomas Reed who ran a pottery in Greene County, Indiana from 1865-1880 after moving from Tuscarawas County, Ohio where he worked from 1846-1865. This jar is virtually identical to the one pictured in William C. Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 133.

Dating around 1860, this beauty sports the Pottery Stamp and a Brushed Cobalt Floral with 10 Leaves and Two Blossoms with 4 Petals Each.  Measures 10" tall and 8 1/2" across the top.

Excellent Condition.   A shallow narrow 2" long chip on the underside at the edge and some light staining on the bottom half.  That's it!  No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
