    Coming to you from Doc's  Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Crock made for the merchant, "J. B. Shattuck & Son, Creamery, Cherry Creek, N.Y."  

     

    It was made and stamped on the back by the Hawthorn Pottery Co., Hawthorn, PA which ran from 1899 to 1923 (see Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 124-26).

     

    This beauty features the Company Advertising on the Front and the Pottery on the Back,  Measures 6" tall and 10" wide across the top.

     

    Very Good Condition.  Two chips inside the rim (3/8" , 3/4") and a faint 3" hairline from the base on the right side (closeup).  No outer rim or base chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
