Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by the "New Geneva Pottery."
This is the mark of Alexander Conrad who made stoneware in New Geneva from 1870-1882 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 164-165).
This beauty features the Desired Wax Sealer Form with Tooled Grooved Rim and Shoulder, Canted Sides, and the Company Advertising on a Diagonal Framed by 3 Graduated Squiggle Stripes on Each Side. All the cobalt is dark, bright, and beautiful! Stands 9 1/2" tall.
Excellent Condition. A stain on the right side bottom. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
